- PetroChina, China’s largest oil and gas producer, maps out low-carbon projects pipeline, spending plan to help fight climate change. It has so far won development rights for 850 megawatts of wind and solar farms, and is building geothermal and off-grid wind and solar projects with enough capacity to avoid burning 350,000 tons of coal per year. - Xiaomi acquires autonomous driving technology startup Deepmotion for about $77.3 million. The investment follows Xiaomi’s bold plan to invest $10 billion over the next decade in the electric vehicles space. Techcrunch
