Steven is currently retired but continues to find fulfillment in understanding and analyzing the current state of investing and financial markets. He enjoys meeting founders and management of start-ups who are trying new things and want to make an impact in the world, beyond just making money. Although he would also be the first one to tell you that making money is nice too!

He has over 25 years of investment and financial markets experience and would like to share his expertise with companies that need help approaching, presenting to and/or communicating with investors. He can assist in issues related to fundraising. In addition, he has extensive experience with business and financial models/modeling and can provide useful insights to entrepreneurs who may not be as familiar and/or comfortable with these areas.

Steven was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs, has also worked at Morgan Stanley, and began his career at J.P. Morgan. He has worked in New York, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Although he has covered a multitude of industries, he specialized in Asian technology companies, encompassing the semiconductor, hardware and internet industries in mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong and South Korea. He helped Morgan Stanley to produce its first Asian internet sector equity research in 1999 and has also helped companies raise new funds (for example – US$280 million for ASE Test Ltd.).

Steven has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, both from Brown University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
