Sam is currently the Senior Advisor of Azeus Convene and was previously an active angel investor and Managing Director of Evolution Advisors, a consultancy focused on cross-border entry and business development. Previously, Sam was with Microsoft’s Business Development Group overseeing Bing, MSN, Skype and O365 partnerships across Asia Pacific. Sam also oversaw Microsoft’s strategic alliances with Yahoo! and Nokia in the region as well as sat on the Board of Directors of Microsoft’s online joint venture in China. Prior to joining Microsoft in Seattle, Sam held operational leadership roles with AT&T Wireless and Amazon in the United States, where he spearheaded the launch of several new products/services.

Sam holds a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Illinois and a Masters of Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is also a qualified CPA and speaks English, Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin and Thai. Sam has lived in the US, China, Hong Kong, and Thailand, but now resides in Singapore.
