Regina Galang has 17+ years of experience working in finance and innovation. She started her career as a CPA with PricewaterhouseCoopers in San Francisco focused on investment and tech companies. Regina did a short stint with a pre-IPO internet start-up in 2000 before moving to Zimbabwe to pursue a volunteer opportunity in Microfinance in 2001. After nearly 3 years in sub-Saharan Africa focusing primarily on economic development consultancies, she returned to the States to pursue a double masters MBA | MPA degree.
Regina was most recently the Innovation Director of Greater China for Diageo, the world’s leading premium alcohol beverage company, where she worked for 10 years. She led her team through all aspects of product innovation from concept idea through to commercialization. Regina is proud to have launched award-winning innovations on brands such as Johnnie Walker, Baileys, Smirnoff, Shui Jing Fang and The Singleton to name a few.
Regina holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley, a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School at Harvard University. In addition to China, she has also lived and worked in the United States, Singapore, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, the United Kingdom and Thailand. In 2014, she was featured as the only woman in the Global Entrepreneur article “Business Elites Under 40” for her innovation work in China.
Regina has been based in Shanghai since 2009.
