Pierre-Jean Hanard is a former intrapreneur and entrepreneur and now advises and teaches entrepreneurs. He currently conducts research on entrepreneurs’ mental health and well-being at King’s College London while being an MBA tutor and Entrepreneurship Expert at the University of Oxford and an Adjunct Teaching Fellow at UCL School of Management in their MSc in Entrepreneurship.
Previously Pierre-Jean was a lecturer at the London College of Fashion and a coach at the Advanced Leadership Initiative Program of Harvard University. He also served as an expert and judge in startup competitions, mainly at MIT Delta V / GFSA and the Harvard Business School New Venture Competition. Prior to academia, he was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Citi Ventures, founder of a FinTech startup and long-time banking intrapreneur, his last role being Chief of Staff to the COO at HSBC Private Bank. He also co-founded “IDDEA” Startup Accelerator, the first contest and training program for aspiring entrepreneurs in French-speaking Switzerland.Pierre-Jean earned an MBA as a Sloan Fellow from MIT and also holds a BBA from HEC School of Management – University of Liège, an MSc in Marketing Management from Vlerick Business School and an MSc in International Economics and Management from SDA Bocconi.
