Liu Yan is a learning community builder, a series social entrepreneur, an innovator. She currently is the Co-founder & Chief Curator of China Australia Milleninial Project (CAMP). CAMP is a summit that unites 100 young innovators from China with 100 young innovators from Australia for a 5 day innovation incubator within Vivid Ideas Festival, with additional networking and industry-related activities.
Liu Yan was the founder and Chief Catalyst of ASK LAB – a social enterprise that is dedicated to the participatory and experiential learning and co-creation. She is also the cofounder of Loving the Crowd – a crowd funding consultancy firm dedicated to hardware startups and makers. She established Xindanwei in 2009, a Shanghai based co-working center, international innovation hub and one of the “World Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in China” listed by FastCompany.
Liu Yan is the author of “Coworking Manual” – a book published at App Store under Creative Commons to help entrepreneurs to set up co-working community. She is also the leader of Startup Weekend Shanghai.
