John has spent the last 12 years in sales and marketing roles in Asia and the US for international brands such as McDonalds and Coca Cola. Most recently he was Chief Marketing Officer for Skylark, a Bain Capital portfolio company with $4.5B in sales and 3,000 restaurants under 24 brands, where he led the marketing, advertising, new product development, and media strategy for the company.
Prior to Skylark John led McDonald’s Japan’s marketing division as CMO, managing a $300 MM marketing budget for McDonald’s second largest market in the world. He joined McDonald’s from The Coca-Cola Company, where he was responsible for sales in large accounts in Korea.
