Carel is currently the creator of the Mackinac Island APP and the Power of Pulse in Silver Cloud Itd. Carel used to be a CEO and cofounder of Ink361.com, a web-based Instagram photo sharing network. Carel holds a MSc degree specialized in corporate finance from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He worked in investment banking prior to becoming an entrepreneur and has founded three successful companies over the last 14 years. He has been able to successfully attract external investments for his ventures. His first internet venture dates back to 1996.

Since December 2012, Carel is active of Director of the Guangzhou chapter for Startup Grind, a global tech entrepreneur network from Palo Alto helping to inspire, educate and connect people interested in the tech startup eco system. Carel is of Dutch nationality, and has been living in Guangzhou, China since 2005.
